Creating a New cPanel Account on WHM

Step 1: Log In

Login into the desired WHM account

Step 2: In WHM Dashboard

Select "Create a New Account"

Step 3: Domain Information

The domain information typically for a dev site should be a "Dev URL", something along the lines of, sitename.pinfiber.com, unless the client wants a "Coming Soon" page, which you can follow below. When creating a Dev URL, DO NOT use www. The "sitename" is the subdomain. You will also need to log into the GoDaddy account for 702 Pros to add the subdomain to the DNS records. Be sure to add ONLY the subdomain. For example, if you want the Dev URL to be tireshop.pinfiber.com, only create an A record with "tireshop" as the name, pointing to the IP of the server the site is on.

Using the Actual Domain (for creating a Coming Soon page)
Instead of using a Dev URL, you can use the actual domain. This will bypass the need to update URLs later in development. You also won't need to log into the GoDaddy account for pinfiber.com or sparkmeta.com, but you will need to log into the client's domain registrar to point the A record to our server.

The username should be something short and tied in with the name of the potential domain for the client. For example, if the domain for the site is going to be "roystireshop.com", then "roystires" should be the username for the cPanel account.

Save the domain information into the customer vault on PulseNest™.

Step 4: Package

Choose a package: Select "Default" when in development. Once the site is complete, you can change the package to the corresponding hosting package that the customer has purchased.

Select Options Manually: Do not select this option unless informed otherwise.

Step 5: Settings

Leave as default selected option unless informed otherwise.

Step 6: Mail Routing Settings

Step 7: Reseller Settings

Step 8: DNS Settings

Step 9: Create

Next, you will need to create an AutoSSL via WHM for that specific cPanel account as well as a redirect to include "https://".
