IT: Setting Up New Design / Development PC

When setting up a new Desktop or Laptop purchased for design and or development you will need to install and setup the software listed below.

Batch Install Common Software using Ninite
https://ninite.com/

Install the following software
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
    • After Effects
    • Media Encoder
    • Light Room
  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Notepad ++
  • Visual Studio Code "or your preferred code editor"
  • Xampp
  • Screaming Frog SEO Spider
Update Windows to most current version
  1. Press the windows keys
  2. Click the cog icon above the power icon to access settings
  3. Click Update & Security
  4. Click Check for Updates
  5. Install and Restart the Computer until it is current.
