RingCentral Functions | Transfers | Add to Call


  • Record Calls
  1. Must be on an active call to use.
  2. Click “More” next to the 3 dots ⚫⚫⚫
  3. Select “Record.”
  4. A notification will play that both parties can hear, stating the call is now being recorded.
  5. Follow the same steps to “Stop Recording.”
  6. Recorded Calls are found on the left side menu under Phone>Call Recordings.
  7. Recordings can be replayed.
  8. Recordings can be downloaded by hovering over the desired recording, selecting “More” next to the 3 dots ⚫⚫⚫ and then “Download.”
    • To enable "Automatic Recording" (record all calls all the time) go to the "Admin Portal."
    • Select "Phone System" from the top menu.
    • Select "Auto-Receptionist" then "General Settings" from the left side menu.
    • Select "Call Recording."
    • Enable "Automatic Call Recording."
    • Click "yes" to confirm.

  • Transfer Calls
  1. Must be on an active call to use.
  2. Click “More” next to the 3 dots ⚫⚫⚫
  3. Select “Transfer.”
    • Hot Transfer (notify recipient first)
    1. Once you’ve selected “Transfer,” dial the recipient’s number.
    2. Select “Ask First.”
    3. You will then hear ringing to the recipient call, but the other caller won’t.
    4. When the recipient picks up, introduce the other caller, and select “Transfer.”
    • Cold Transfer (do not notify recipient first)
    1. Once you’ve selected “Transfer,” dial the recipient’s number.
    2. Select “Transfer.”
    3. Call will immediately transfer.


  • Add Person to Call
  1. Must be on an active call to use.
  2. Select “Add.”
  3. Dial the person you want to join the call’s number.
